I think this is quality because it has questions in it with answer . It also has lots of good language features .
When I'm gone you will just forget me because I won't be here anymore. RIGHT? WELL YOU THOUGHT WRONG.
I will leave something that you won't forget. It is not something that you can touch but a piece of my learning here that I will share with you in the hope that one day you will find this information useful.
I want to share this learning with you because I want you to develop to become the best you can be.
I have three main things to tell you about.
First, class learning is not just for in class time. A good example is writing. When we were learning to write character descriptions, I used this skill at home to write stories that have good descriptions of people. This helps me to understand how much I know about this person and how they operate. Another example is maths. With maths I can understand how long 1000km is when my family is driving to the south island at Christmas. I can calculate my change when I go to the supermarket. And I can double a recipe to make twice as many biscuits if needed.
The second part of my learning that I would like to tell you about is that learning is not just writing and maths. Learning can also be found in all the opportunities I have had outside the classroom - for example kapahaka, bookapediea, road patrol, jump jam and I have learnt a lot while representing the school in athletics, cross country and triathlon.
All these things have taught me so much about leadership, teamwork and the skills that each person brings to the community.
For example in kapahaka we spent a morning making Māori kites. We learnt how to make the amazing knots that hold the kites together. When you think about it, it is just incredible what some people know and understand about the world.
The third and last part of my learning that I want to talk about is friends and friend ship. You can keep good friends forever if you don't just walk away and leave them behind. Friends can help you with your confidence and your learning and they help you enjoy life even when there is lots of hard work to be done.
So I will give you a moment to think about it. Who has really helped you to develop to become the best you can be.
Friends are also people you can trust. I don't mean that you and your friends go around telling silly secrets but that they are there for you and will help you.
I have been fortunate enough to have made some great friends at Russell Street School. I would like to say a few words about some of them. First I have to mention Grace Minnis. She has been with me since Year 0 and we have supported each other for many years in good and bad times. I also have a group of friends - including Kate, Vaishnavi, and Brooke - who have been a big part of my enjoyment of learning this year. Then there is wider circle of friends who have helped me in many ways - both big and small - like Annalise, Latoyah and Laken.
If you have friends like these then I can guarantee you will have a great time and be successful.
There you have it. My three keys to learning and developing to become the best you can be. Listen in the class room and use those skills at home, Take all the opportunities you can to broaden your learning and understanding. Nurture your friendships and treasure your friends.
I am very glad to have told you this and for you to have listened . I wish you good luck in becoming the best you can be. If your friends aren't being the best, well you can show them how it's done and how much fun you have when you try your hardest at everything.
Thank you
